Need a boost with Verbs?

Who doesn't find Spanish verbs difficult to master, let alone remember? Is that what are all those books are about - 1001 Spanish Verbs Fully Conjugated?

When we're learning a language, we're usually so keen to be able to communicate that sometimes important foundation skills are sacrificed in order to be able to "get to speak sooner". We put on hold certain things that take up a lot of effort, for example, bothering with agreement of the adjectives with the nouns (masculine/feminine/singular/plural). As long as we have the noun, our comunication is not really hindered!

This is a great strategy to get us going, and to allow us to practise and gain confidence with using our new language. However, there comes a time in language-learning when not having mastery of these grammatical skills starts to hold back our speaking. It's a very exciting moment when we realise that we really do need to have quick access to remembering how the verbs go!

Verb Workshops are just for that - to enable us to get to the point of the matter and get it out of the way. The Spanish verb system may be extensive, but in the end, they are full of patterns and methods for remembering. Just like the multiplication times tables that we learnt at school!

Verb Workshop 1 is a 5-week (7.5 hr) course revising the conjugation and use of verbs. It is suitable for those who have studied or are currently studying past tenses. In El Patio's system, this means students who have completed Upper Elementary 2, or who are at any of the Lower Intermediate levels. For University students, it's ideal for those who are in their second semester of first-year Spanish. However even Intermediate and Advanced students can benefit from review of the conjugation of verbs, as they are the foundation of speaking Spanish with confidence.
Review and practice of: present (regular & irregular), gustar, reflexives, present continuous, perfect and preterite. The course assumes you have had an introduction to these forms.
