Julio: Los menúes - Menus!
We've all seen some entertaining menus on our travels, with listed items ranging from dishes made with unbelievable ingredients, to those with highly entertaining and unique uses of English. But have we taken the time to photograph the menu that had us reeling with disbelief, or kept us amused with its attempt at Spanglish?
July is for menus. Show us what you ordered!
Junio: Las caras de la gente - People's faces
One of the great things about travel is that not only are we in a completely different space, but suddenly we have time to look around us!
There are new landscapes, buildings, works of art, signage, vehicles, stuff in shops, and then there is the people. Photographing people can be one of the more challenging aspects of photography, and some of us are more able to jump in to capture a portrait than others.
June is for portraits. Show us what you've snapped!
This photo was taken in the south of Bolivia. We were visiting hot springs in the high country. We had stopped for coffee and food in a little shake near 'lago coloreado' where this little boy was riding his bike around and pretending to get stuck between the chairs. Such a happy little boy in such a cold climate.

Wayuu abuela, Colombia
I took this photo during a 4 hour ride in the back of a truck on the way through the desert from Riohacha to Cabo de la Vela in the very north west of Colombia. We were stopping there for a night on our way to the unbelievably pretty part of Colombia called Punta Gallinas. The woman was travelling with her two grandchildren but I couldn't talk to her as she was an indigenous Wayuu woman and didn't speak Spanish.
